This policy explains what data we collect when you use the SteadyPress.ai marketing site and the SteadyPress products, how we use that data, and the choices you have. It is intentionally written in plain English. If anything is unclear, use the contact form.
Who we are
SteadyPress is a product company based in California, USA, operated by New Directions In Computing. The site at steadypress.ai and the products listed there are ours.

What we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the product and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- Account info. Name, email, optional business name, and billing address for purchases.
- Purchase data. Transaction ID, amount, currency, license tier, license key, and the domains on which the license is activated.
- Pro plugin telemetry. Aggregate plugin score events from sites running SteadyScore Pro. No plugin code, no personal data, and no visitor data. You can opt out in the plugin settings at any time.
- Website analytics. Page views, referrer, browser, and device class via Google Analytics 4. Only loaded after you give consent.
- Server logs. IP address, user agent, and timestamp. Retained for 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
What we don’t collect
To be clear about the boundaries:
- Visitor data from the WordPress sites running SteadyScore.
- Plugin source code or anything resembling it.
- Post content, comments, or user-uploaded media from your sites.
- Login credentials for your WordPress sites or third-party services.
- Anything inside the WordPress sites running SteadyScore beyond aggregate scoring events.
How we use your data
- To deliver the product and keep your license active.
- To send transactional email: receipts, license keys, renewal notices, and account notifications.
- To answer support requests.
- To send occasional product update emails, only if you opt in.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Third-party processors
We use a small set of vendors to operate the service. Each one processes data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Mailgun — transactional email.
- Mailchimp — marketing email, opt-in only.
- Cloudflare — CDN and DDoS protection.
- Google Analytics 4 — site analytics, consent-gated.
Your rights
You have the right to know what we have, the right to delete it, the right to correct it, the right to opt out of any sale of personal information (we don’t sell), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Use the contact form and we will respond within 30 days.
Data retention
- Account and purchase data — kept while your account is active, then 7 years for tax and compliance.
- Telemetry — individual records purged after 90 days. Aggregates are retained quarterly.

We use a small number of cookies to make the site work and, with your consent, to measure how it is used. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.
Children’s privacy
The site and the products are not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International users
Our servers and our vendors are based in the United States. If you use the site or the product from outside the US, you consent to your data being processed in the US under US law.

Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are announced by email to active customers and shown in the changelog at the bottom of this page.
