Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the SteadyPress.ai website, the free SteadyScore plugin, the SteadyPress API, and any Pro features tied to a paid license. They are written in plain English on purpose. If you have a question, use the contact form.

Acceptance

By using the site, downloading the free plugin, or buying a Pro license, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

The service has three parts: the marketing site at steadypress.ai, the free SteadyScore plugin distributed through WordPress.org, and Pro features delivered through the SteadyPress API for customers with an active paid license.

License grant

  • Free plugin. Licensed under GPLv2 or later. You may modify, redistribute, or fork it under the terms of the GPL.
  • Pro license. A non-exclusive, non-transferable annual subscription tied to your account. Activation limits apply per tier: Pro Single covers 1 site, Pro Agency covers 25 sites, and Pro Enterprise covers 250 sites.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Redistribute Pro features or bypass license validation.
  • Abuse the SteadyPress API beyond its published rate limits.
  • Scrape the marketing site.
  • Use SteadyScore data or the plugin to attack, harass, or otherwise harm other sites.

API access

The SteadyPress API is part of the Pro license. We may rate-limit, block abuse, or deprecate endpoints. Where a deprecation breaks existing usage, we will give reasonable notice and document the replacement.

Plans, pricing, and renewals

Annual subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each term. You can cancel anytime from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you keep access until then. Prices may change with 30 days’ notice for the next renewal cycle.

Refunds

See our Refund Policy. In short: 30-day full refund on first-time Pro purchases, no questions asked.

Data ownership

You own your data. We own the service. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your data to us, and nothing transfers ownership of the SteadyPress software, brand, or content to you beyond the license rights described here.

Intellectual property

The SteadyPress name, the logo, the marketing content on this site, and the Pro user interface are our intellectual property. The free plugin’s source code is licensed under the GPL and remains so.

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” SteadyScore is a reliability scoring tool, not a security scanner. We do not guarantee that any scored plugin is bug-free or that a score predicts future plugin behavior. Scores are advisory and meant to inform your judgment, not replace it.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SteadyPress harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or your violation of these terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts for material breach of these terms. You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling the plugin.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Luis Obispo County, California.

Changes

We will email active customers about any material change to these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
